Ah, tea, a magical potion! Its delightful aroma and invigorating taste continue to work their charms over the centuries. After water, tea is the second most popular drink in the world.
Not surprising then, that there are so many different ways to cultivate tea plants, to pick and process leaves, so many ways of preparing tea and so many different ingredients added to create delicious teas and ways of drinking tea. Nor is it surprising to find an extensive range of quality tea products.
Tea is also an edible food, an item added to dishes to enhance the flavour. Working with chef Christophe Alary, in association with a dozen major chefs, we have created a number of exquisite tea recipes, compiled in a book (in French) entitled Du thé plein la toque. Most of the recipes can be found on the OGourmet website.
One simple and delicious tea-based recipe is clementine soup.
